As social and biodiversity issues grow in importance, many organisations are seeing benefits in connecting their employees with nature. Whether its volunteering days, or improving biodiversity around facilities, this workshop looks at how to get started and what can be achieved.
Seeing nature first hand is impactful
By attending this workshop you will:
- Hear about examples of volunteering days at UK National Parks;
- Learn about how to set up biodiversity projects;
- Understand the benefits of getting employees involved in nature and volunteering; and
- Talk about your own plans, actions and experience.
The workshop features:
- Lisa Sensier and Will Potter from National Parks Partnerships, which has partnered with many businesses to offer volunteering days; and
- Leigh Broadhurst, from SUEZ, who will talk about biodiversity projects at the company’s recycling and waste sites.
- The workshop will be moderated by OckiPro’s Emma Chynoweth.
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss this topic.
This workshop is for anyone who:
- is interested to learn more about the benefits of connecting employees with nature;
- wants to understand how to set up nature days or biodiversity projects; or
- wants to discuss how to maintain momentum on nature.
