Get Involved

Getting involved in sustainability is a positive step if you are concerned about the issues we face today, such as climate change, use of scarce resources and human rights and inequality. We want Ocki to be a hub for people to come together to share their experiences, to ask questions, to make suggestions, and to generally raise their voices. Here are some ways you can get involved through Ocki.

Share your experience and knowledge

Our Community page is home for all information that is not generated by our editorial team. Whether you are a member of the public who’s got some great advice for others, or an expert keen to talk about your work and how it is relevant to people, please get in touch via info@ockisustainability.com

Our team will help you get your message across. For example, if you feel passionately about something, make your point clearly, and support it with evidence. If you disagree with another viewpoint, construct your argument carefully and suggest alternative approaches. 

You can also use the info@ockisustainability.com email if you have questions, or want to write in about something you’ve read or seen in Ocki (you can also use the article commenting feature at the end of each item). We’ll publish questions, with answers from our team, or put a call out for experts on our Community page.

Encourage your employer on sustainability

Ocki provides specialist support to help organisations engage their employees in sustainability. If you work for a company that could be doing more in terms of sustainability, and you want to be more involved in driving change at work, let us know (via info@ockisustainability.com) and we’ll provide suggestions on how you can get started. For example, you could tell the person responsible for sustainability at work about Ocki.

If you work for an organisation that is blazing a trail on the sustainability front, let us know and we can collaborate to tell its story, either through case studies or networking events, to help inform and inspire others.

Add to our World Sustainability Directory

We are not trying to reinvent or replicate all the great sustainability resources already out there. But we can help people find really good websites, reports, apps to help them in different aspects of sustainability. If you want to list your organisation in the Ocki World Sustainability Directory, because it is relevant to the public, send through the details, including a justification for including your information, so we can check if it is appropriate to add to the list.
